However, using the STAR C3 would remove ALL doubt about ability to diagnose to the limits of the particular vehicle's communication capabilitys. Having said that, and looking at your profile, I would think Carsoft would be adequate for your stable. But looking at Carsoft V12 page, the one glaring thing I see is no MOST functions, only D2B ( Fiber Optic networks with MOST being 2003'ish onwards) I also see some limited communication ability over the OBD II port versus the 38 pin port under the hood. I assume v12 being the better of the two.Īlso can anyone point me towards a vendor? I also notice Chinese versions available. I see the Carsoft has v7 and v12 out there. From what I can figure somewhere between $200-$400 for either one my choice.ĭoes anyone have any experience with both? Recommend one over the other? Reliability or ease of use or are they about the same just with different names. They seem to be about the same in price which incidentally is all over the map. Humour me please? I want to buy one of these things as I have three MB's and it would be a handy thing to have.
